Fourth House On The Hill, LLC is a publishing company formed by James L. Lipscomb, Advisory Board Chair of COHH. The name is derived from his former home address in Coeymans, New York where company houses were best known by their location along highway Route 144.

Center of Hope (Haiti), Inc. - 20 Years In Haiti

Lipscomb is a founder of COHH.  He has just released on Amazon the book, Center of Hope (Haiti), Inc – 20 Years In Haiti, a retrospective of the development and subsequent operation of the orphanage and school that begins with a diary about his first visit to Haiti in 2001. The visit became the impetus for beginning the project. 

The main feature of the book are the contemporaneous blogs over the years that describe the challenges and achievements of providing hope for a brighter future to the children and their caregivers. Children starting in first grade with little or no hope are now graduating high school and hoping to go on to college.

I Got Shoes

I Got Shoes – A Memoir (2018) is another book by Lipscomb. It is an evocative memoir of a black man growing up in poverty in a small New York State town that formed the foundation for his eventual quest to obtain a better life.

EVERGREEN Inspirational Words - Living A Better Life

EVERGREEN Inspirational Words- Living A Better Life (2024) is also another book by Lipscomb. The book assumes ashared egalitarian aspiration to live in harmony with others while acknowledging the practical aspects of everyday living – being right is not enough if no one agrees with you. Yet, we often wonder aloud or in silence about whatshould one do when the odds seem to be against your point of view. The book suggests guideposts for navigating the different points of view in life.
