Today marked the end of the school year for COHH. Our children completed a rigorous school year and look forward to the new school year when the first building of our new school will be opened. We congratulate our children and our teachers who labored under trying conditions, including temporary classrooms pending the construction of the new school. Today, the children, dressed in their best clothing, with caregivers present, celebrated the completion of the school year with presentations, music and song. This was an important day for our 68 children. They are one year further in their education and looking forward to completion of summer school and the new school year. We salute our parents and caregivers for their support of the children and applaud their commitment to education for their children.
COHH has been raising funds to build a new school for 3 years. We are grateful to the more than 200 supporters for their donations to construct our school. With the help of the Building Goodness Foundation, phase one of the school project will be complete in time for the new school year. Yet, we are in need of additional support to continue the construction of the remaining phases of the school. The pictures below show not just a celebration, but also the broad-based support of the teachers and caregivers and the need for additional space to carry forward the education of the children in the coming years.
You can help make a difference in the lives of these children. Please join with the teachers, the caregivers and COHH by donating now as you are able. God bless.
